What You’ll Need:

  • Your peptide vial.
  • Bacteriostatic water (BAC)
  • 3ml syringe
  • Drawing needle
  • Air needle (optional but helpful)
  • Alcohol swabs
  • The cartridge that comes with your pen (looks like a skinny little vial with a stopper)
  • Your pen (2 parts)
  • A pen needle

Step-by-Step

Step 1 – Clean up
Wash your hands. Seriously. Clear a space, wipe down your gear, and use alcohol swabs on the vial tops and cartridge.

Step 2 – Mix it
Reconstitute your peptide like you normally would.

Step 3 – Load the cartridge

Draw up your mixed peptide with a syringe.

  • Hold your cartridge and lightly press your thumb on the base.
  • (Optional) Vent the cartridge by jabbing a second small needle in off-centre to let air escape.
  • Slowly inject your peptide into the centre of the cartridge. Don’t rush it or you’ll blow the stopper out.

Step 4 – Load the pen
  • Unscrew your pen and insert the filled cartridge.
  • Push it back together. It’s friction fit and latched, so apply a bit of pressure until you see it latched of feel a click.

Step 5 – Prime the pen
  • Attach your pen needle.
  • Remove both the outer and inner caps.
  • Dial up a full dose.
  • Hold upright and press the button to push air out.
  • Repeat with smaller doses until you see a drop at the tip.

Step 6 – Dose
  • Dial to your dose (Numbers are in units).
  • Inject wherever you usually go sub-q.
  • The plunger will return to zero, and the pen is good to go again next time.

Step 7 – Store

Cap your pen and stick it in the fridge. You’re done.
